Exhibit: Orion, King in the Woods display AoS: Avatar of the Hunt

Recently I showed you photos of Orion, King in the Woods, the everlasting Lord of Athel Loren and co-ruler of the Wood Elves (in Age of Sigmar he is Avatar of the Hunt) with his Hounds and today I want to show you a small diorama with Orion. Here you can see how I made the plinth using fire (I burned it), but it was quite a difficult task to mount Orion and his original base on it. I managed to do it so he could be easily removed from the plinth and put elsewhere. Orion's base can be connected to the plinth with one "click" due to the use of neodymium magnets. Also, his original base outline is almost invisible when connected to the plinth =) I hope you like my autumn King in the Woods and that his photos are of good enough quality. Niedawno pokazałem Wam zdjęcia Oriona, Króla Kniei, wiecznego Lorda Athel Loren i współwładcę Leśnych Elfów (w Age of Sigmar to Avatar of the Hunt) wraz z Ogarami na makiecie, zaś dzisiaj przygotowałem dla Was małą dioramę z Orionem w roli głównej. Tutaj możecie zobaczyć jak przy użyciu ognia robiłem piedestał (plint), natomiast pewną trudnością było takie zamontowanie na nim Oriona, by dało się go wraz z klasyczną podstawką łatwo "odczepić" i ustawić w innym "terenie". Podstawkę udało mi się niemal niezauważalnie połączyć z plintem, a całość doskonale się trzyma na magnesach neodymowych. Można zatem powiedzieć, że Orion wchodzi na piedestał z lekkim "kliknięciem" =) Mam nadzieję, że mój jesienny Król Kniei Wam się podoba i jakość zdjęć jest wystarczająca =) Serdecznie zachęcam przy tym do zagłosowania na Oriona na CoolMiniOrNot.com tutaj =) Więcej zdjęć Oriona poniżej.

Project: Plinth display base (burned) Figurkowy Karnawał Blogowy XLVIII - Grunt to dobrze zjeść!

For non polish visitors, I hasten to explain that Carnival of Blog's Minis is the initiative of polish miniatures bloggers. The idea is based on monthly challenges on various topics about miniatures etc. This month's theme is about eating.

Trwa XLVIII edycja Figurkowego Karnawału Blogowego, ogłoszona na łamach bloga Shoggoth's Place, zaś motywem przewodnim jest "Grunt to dobrze zjeść!".

For a few days I was wondering what to publish for this month's challenge. I didn't have any Tyranid at hand, so I thought I would just let go, but yesterday we were to have a bonfire together and I came up with an idea. If the best food is made on the fire, maybe I will also roast something? =) I took a wooden block (a future plinth which I will use very soon) and set it on fire. The idea wasn't mine, because I found it on the Massive Voodoo blog, but I was very curious about doing it on my own. I guess I had some difficulties due to the kind of wood I  have burned (it was very little susceptible to burning), but on the other hand, such a plinth would be much stronger later. Fortunately, the heat was enough to achieve the desired effect. All I had to do was to blow for a long time, controlling the burning effect. The final effect is not spectacular yet, but I think that when I finish the plinth it will look very unique, and that's just what it was all about =) When I finished burning my plinth I got really hungry, so many delicious sausages went to fire =) P.S. There will be a very big, old and previously unfinished project on the plinth (I'm slowly finishing it off) =) More photos below.

Od paru dni zastanawiałem się co opublikować w ramach FKB, a że żadnego Tyranida pod ręką nie miałem, to już myślałem, że odpuszczę. Dopiero, gdy wraz z rodziną postanowiliśmy zrobić ognisko, wpadłem na pewien pomysł. Skoro najlepsze jedzenie jest robione na ogniu to może i ja coś upiekę? =) Nie czekając na innych wziąłem drewniany klocek (przyszły piedestał / plint, który już niedługo bardzo mi się przyda) i go podpaliłem. Pomysł nie jest mój, gdyż znalazłem go na blogu Massive Voodoo, ale byłem bardzo ciekaw efektów.  Sądzę, że pewną trudność mógł stanowić rodzaj palonego drewna, gdyż mój był np. bardzo mało podatny na spalanie, ale z drugiej strony taki plint będzie później wytrzymalszy. Do osiągnięcia wymaganego efektu wystarczył jednak sam żar. Po jego uzyskaniu musiałem mocno i długo dmuchać, kontrolując końcowy efekt spalenia.  Finalny efekt nie jest jeszcze może powalający, ale myślę, że jak skończę obróbkę tego plinta to będzie wyglądał wyjątkowo, a o to przecież chodziło, co nie? =) Jak już skończyłem palenie piedestału zrobiłem się naprawdę głodny, a że grunt to dobrze zjeść, to na ogień poszły wyśmienite kiełbaski =)  P.S. Na plincie stanie bardzo duży, stary i dotąd niedokończony projekt, który powoli wykańczam =) Więcej zdjęć poniżej.
