Review & Unboxing: Wood Elves Drycha / Sylvaneth Branchwraith Warheim: Drycha

There were some plastic and metal miniatures on the blog lately, so it's high time for some finecast =) While preparing for Warheim Fantasy Skirmish tournament in October I added another miniature for my Athel Loren Wood Elves squad. She used to be the Dryad Drycha miniature before the destruction of the Old World, but since there is a new Drycha miniature now it is just a Branchwraith miniature in Age of Sigmar Sylvaneth army. The miniature is made of finecast, so I thought there will be some troubles with it, but I was very kindly surprised =) There is a base and 2 elements in the box that doesn't require too much work. All elements fit together perfectly and are of a very good quality. I didn't find any damages. The miniature is very dynamic and almost screams for some special attention as far as basing is concerned - I've started making a special base for her =) My rating: 6/6 More photos below:

Były plastiki, potem metale, więc najwyższy czas na coś z finecastu =) W ramach przygotowań do wrześniowego turnieju Warheim Fantasy Skirmish  przedstawiam Wam kolejny nabytek do mojej drużyny Leśnych Elfów z Athel Loren. Przed destrukcją Starego Świata była to Driada Drycha, zaś w związku z nowym modelem Drychy w Age of Sigmar figurka ta to Konarozjawa do armii Sylvaneth Co prawda kiedyś zrobiłem już konwersję Konarozjawy, ale i tak postanowiłem mieć tę właściwą =) Figurka jest z finecastu, więc podejrzewałem, że będą z nią pewne problemy, ale o dziwo pozytywnie mnie zaskoczyła =) Zestaw składa się z podstawki i 2 elementów, które nie wymagają jakiejś specjalnej obróbki. Wszystkie elementy świetnie do siebie pasują. Detale są naprawdę świetne i nie znalazłem żadnych uszkodzeń. Figurka jest bardzo dynamiczna i aż prosi się o coś więcej niż tylko prostą podstawkę, a już jestem w trakcie tego dodatkowego działania =) Moja ocena: 6/6 Więcej zdjęć poniżej:

Just as I've promised, this is the second miniature I've entered Bananalicious contest Fantasy category with.

Tak, jak obiecałem, oto druga figurka, którą wystawiłem w konkursie Bananalicious w kategorii Fantasy. 

This Wood Elves (edit: Sylvaneth) Branchwraith conversion was my first pick and she didn't require too much work. I've repainted her runes (I'm still learning how to do it properly) and eyes, giving her even fiercer appearance. To finish her, I've added some more highlights to the whole model and some grass on the base.

Konwersja Banchwraith (Konarozjawa?) do Leśnych Elfów (edycja: Sylvaneth) była moim pierwszym wyborem, gdyż nie wymagała zbyt wielu poprawek / ulepszeń. Przemalowałem jej runy (wciąż uczę się, jak je poprawnie malować) oraz oczy, dając jej jeszcze bardziej agresywny wygląd. Na koniec, dodałem trochę rozjaśnień i trawy na podstawkę.

Exhibit & Tutorial: The trees are alive! part.2 Te drzewa żyją! cz.2

Done, done and done! The Fantasy Hammer blog is pleased to announce my first finished Warhammer (edit: Age of Sigmar) Wood Elves (edit: Sylvaneth) army unit, video and a small tutorial! I would have never thought that painting Dryads is so challenging! It took me more than an hour for each of the Dryads to paint, not counting those little Spites I was so eager to put inside the unit. However, this whole Dryads unit assembled together tells me it was really worth my time!

Gotowe! The Fantasy Hammer z radością przedstawia pierwszy pomalowany oddział Warhammer (edycja: Age of Sigmar) Leśnych Elfów (edycja: Sylvaneth), wideo oraz mały poradnik! Nigdy nie myślałem, że malowanie Driad może być tak wymagające! Pomalowanie każdej Driady zajęło mi ponad godzinę, nie licząc tych małych Duszków, które tak chętnie dodałem do oddziału. Mimo dużej ilości poświęconego na nie czasu, cały oddział Driad zebrany razem mówi mi, że było warto =)

Just as I've promised, here is the first of my Dryads - a Branchwraith conversion with a video and a painting Dryads tutorial. For my army, I've chosen the autumn theme as it is more colorful and gives me more room as far as painting is concerned. I dislike the Wood Elves Branchwraith / Drycha model, so I've decided to make my own and I am quite happy with the results.  

Tak, jak obiecałem, przedstawiam moją pierwszą Driadę - konwersję Branchwraith (Konarozjawa? Konarowy Upiór? Może jakieś sugestie? =)), wraz z wideo i poradnikiem jak malować Driady. Do swej armii, wybrałem jesienny motyw, jako że jest bardziej kolorowy i daje większe pole do popisu, jeśli chodzi o malowanie. Nie podobała mi się Branchwraith / Drycha Leśnych Elfów, stąd postanowiłem zrobić własną i jestem całkiem zadowolony z efektów.

Using Dryads parts, I've added additional pair of arms, another branch on her back and a nice Sprite. Note that I have not used greenstuff or any other modelling putty. It was just enough to cut those branches and arms so they fit nicely together on this Branchwraith conversion.

Używając elementów Driad, przykleiłem dodatkową parę rąk, kolejną gałąź na jej plecach i fajnego Duszka. Zauważcie, że nie musiałem używać jakiejkolwiek masy modelarskiej. Wystarczyło odpowiednio przyciąć gałęzie, by ładnie pasowały na tej konwersji Branchwraith.
